Supporting documents for consular processing applicants

Applicants for consular immigrant visas must submit the following documents in support of their applications (as applicable):

• Birth certificate

• Adoption certificate

• Passports

• Marriage certificate

• Termination of Prior Marriages

• Military records

• Affidavit of Support

• Police Certificates for all countries where the applicant lived for six months or longer after age 16

• Police Certificates for the applicant’s home country

• Court & Prison Records from all foreign countries

• Court & Prison Records for the United States

• Photographs

• Translations
